![]() Being as low in the table as possible without being relegated also increases your chances of getting an easier league next week. If you see that a lot of people are getting lots of points that you just can't manage, do instead just enough to avoid relegation. So you increase your chances of getting an easy league if you start late. Overachievers tend to start pretty early, or even on Sunday night right after the previous league ended. Here is what needs to be done:Īlways do your first lesson on Monday as late in the day as possible. ![]() But it eventually happens (I won the Diamond league with 1500 XP once). ![]() The main ingredient to do this is patience, as it may take several weeks for it to happen. And it's entirely possible to win the diamond league and get the achievement without earning insane amounts of XP. ![]() Also, there is only so much information that we can assimilate at once, and doing XP for the sake of XP would not lead to actual learning even if you are actually doing different lessons and not spamming the same one over and over.īut earning the "legendary" achievement may be something that you want to do just for the sake of completeness, even if you wouldn't care about leagues otherwise. Even though the new path format reduced somewhat the chances they have for spamming, I still see every now and then people earning unrealistic amounts of XP. I have argued in previous posts that leagues are counterproductive for learning mainly because of the presence of spammers that get insane amounts of XP that would only be attainable for bots, teams of people using the same account, or someone who has doing duolingo lessons as their main job.
